Drosophila/Vertebrate Genes in Development:
Gap gene family
Gap gene Kruppel (Kr) encodes a zinc finger protein with four tandomly repeated zinc finger domains.
Zinc finger protein with four tandomly repeated zinc finger domains.
Two cis-acting control elements, CD1 and CD2, control early expression. CD2 is located at -1000 to -3000 from start of transcription, and CD1 is at -3000 to -4000.
